I found immense joy in being a part of this Committee, I never thought it would be this amusing at first. I knew I loved going through photos, especially the galleries in MUNs and wasn’t skilled enough to take extremely good ones. But, I guess no harm in trying ! Why I felt like writing this piece is because I wanted to share this experience of mine and let people know how rewarding it is. The work that looks hard initially melts down when you approach others to help you out – and they’re there to make things easier. Maybe it’s just hard cause technology was never my cup of tea, in my case. It’s very pleasing in reality though you’ll tend to get anxious about being overtly nosy at times. But there’s a lot you can learn like how to exercise politeness and manage time and resources. Being nosy still wasn’t a lost concern.

However, I gained plenty of help and felt supportive in carrying out the tasks assigned, as people were ready to contribute clips of how they prepared and shots of how good they felt when they had it taken. I thank all those who were a part of that and understand all those who couldn’t but were generous regardless.

A beautiful fact is that so many connections were made in this process and plenty of fun moments spent. The Press had to collaborate with many other Committees to allow its efforts to prevail. I had two great people in charge who made things clear to me and a fellow member who gave feedback whenever required. My system required testing several times, yet my team was always patient with me.

So folks, don’t be hesitant to try something new and out of the zone you usually feel alright performing in ! And I suggest if you ever plan to join a Committee, check out the Press, it’s really interesting.
